Mkts end 4% down on weak global cues
Global cues were the main reason behind the slump.

European markets were
- The FTSE down 100 points at 4,048
- CAC down 92 points to 2,882
- DAX down 120 points to 4,219.
Asian markets ended mixed.
- Hang Seng fell 3.14% and
- Straits Times lost 2.36%.
- Kospi and Nikkei lost 1.3-1.5%.
- Shanghai down 1.06%
- Taiwan down 0.28%.
NSE Nifty closed below 2800 mark, down 3.76% or 108.15 points at 2766.65
BSE Sensex shut shop at 9,066.70, down 357.54 points or 3.795
